Welcome!
My name is Heléne Rosborough, (Pronounced like Helaine Rossburrow). I was born in Midland, MI but spent the majority of my childhood in Houston, TX, and I have always felt like I’m from both places! I fell in love with music and performing before I gained consciousness. My mom likes to tell me that my dad and I would scat together before I could talk.
Outside of theatre, I love to write songs on my piano (works can be found on my tik tok @helenerosbo as well as a bunch of other random stuff), ski, make crêpes, go for long drives, and watch movies! I love to rewatch movies as long as I am still noticing new things in them. Favorites include Interstellar, Matilda, Everything Everywhere All At Once, Avengers: Endgame, Ratatouille, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
During my four years at Nazareth University, I was lucky enough to study abroad in London. I studied Shakespeare at The Globe and took classes at Danceworks with West End professionals. It was truly like a dream to me, and I’m endlessly grateful for everything I learned across the pond.
A huge passion in my life that I discovered during college is theatre education. It is incredibly fulfilling to me to teach young people about the thing that I love, and it’s even more rewarding when I get to watch them start to love it too. Kids have an innate ability to play and pretend. I believe that reconnecting with that ability in adulthood is what makes an artist an artist.
Don’t hesitate to reach out, I would love to meet you!
